Random Thoughts: Evan Williams - can't beat it for the price, but gives me heart burn. Jim Beam - can't pour enough Coke in it to make it drinkable. Crown Royal & Jack - great, but neither are bourbon. Makers, Knob, Woodford - all good go to's and no guest will complain. Basil Hayden - what I get when the wife wants bourbon. Maybe the most drinkable of all. Willett & Bookers - great for another $10-15 more than Basil Hayden. Journeyman Distillery "Featherbone" - EXCELLENT, but hard to get south of Indy. About $50. On a side note, Scotch must be priced according to how much the gym socks it was filtered through cost. Just my opinion. Lucky market in bloomington has the featherbone. Nearly bought it for my mother in law since she is a few miles from the old factory. Have to give it a shot

Many good bourbons mentioned here but if Scotch is your pleasure it's hard to beat Hennigan's. No smell no tell.

My favorite by far is Eagle Rare, very nice stuff. My friend took a sip and said it was nice then added coke to it, I about slapped him. So I just don't offer it to him any more. On a side note something that I think is kind of close to Eagle Rare is Crown Royal XR, cracked 2 bottles of it in the parking lot of the hospital the days my daughters were born. The sheriff's deputy looked at me a little cross but he could tell that I was celebrating something special by the bottle.
