Good Morning Everyone.
So far I haven't been very lucky in acquiring land to hunt. I've gotten one area that is about 5 acres and only half is wooded. Butts up against another 30 acres but the owner won't let anyone hunt there.
So I guess my only reasonable public option is Brookville Lake. Has anyone hunted there before? Especially recently? Is it crowded/unsafe?
Thanks in advance.

We've hunted there. Gotta deal with other guys but it's doable. Always get on birds. I've got private land to hunt but always go up once or twice a year

Been a few years but used to hunt out there a lot . Never sealed the deal but came close to bagging a tom several times. Hunting pressure out there has seemed to get worse the past few years though

Are there areas that are less pressured or is it everywhere?

Never hunted out there and didn't at least see a bird. Best day I called in 11 birds. Old gobbler stayed out of range. Jake I could've smacked with the gun barrel.

As long as you have a place to sit near the property line you can call birds over from the 30 acres you can't hunt on. They just need to hear your calls and 35 acres isn't so big that they won't hear you.
