Yeah.... about all places now have a limit on what you can buy.
Shooting as we have known in the past may well change in the near future.

HA!! I've been by that plant in Lonoke frequently. I was in the local gun shop this afternoon. A guy wanted a box of 9mm. Holy crap. I didn't realize that they went up in price that much. From (IIRC) $0.23/round to $0.799/round. WOW. I guess running 1,000 rounds through the new CCW pistol to break it in and verify that there are no ammo dislikes will be a thing of the past now.

I ended up resupplying but essentially quit shooting as much. Before Sandy Hook, it was nothing for me to take a brick of .22s and two or three rifles/pistols to the range and go through it all. After ammo got tough to find, I limited myself to 100 rounds on each trip to the range and still do that today.

Ill shoot 100 then reload them till brass starts failing, and grab the next 100.

I started shooting archery more a few years ago. I'll lose or break an arrow every now and then, but it's still a whole lot cheaper than buying bullets anymore!

My current arrow setup is $39 each from broadhead to nock. Thats my fault. I killed a 400# pig with a walmart arrow. ETA: I went to the gunshop today to get som lil gun or win 296 in case my backordered 350 legend components ever arrive. They didnt have any so I bought 2 more pounds of 4831 for the 7mm. Came home and found 3# of win 296 that I didnt know I had.

But in the 350L, and 450bm, Lil Gun has consistently outperformed anything else I tried. This is in AR's only. Bound by the mag length. That's probably why factory ammo shots so good, it's made to fit mag length only, not a bunch of variables.

Lol - play with the cheap Walmart stuff, then fine tune and hunt with the good stuff...and don't you don't need to practice daily with broadheads. Regardless, I can blow $39 in ammo real quick!

When I went to Walmart to get my deer firearms license I noticed they had very little, just shotgun if I remember right. I said something to the clerk just in conversation and he said they told them to pull the ammo off of the shelves. Then right before the election they were told to put it back out. A week later they were told to pull it all but the shotgun ammo. He didn't understand why and neither do I unless they're just hoping they can get more money for it later if things get nuts. If they have it,why not put it out? Their reasoning, if I remember right, was that if the stores got looted, they didn`t want ammo accessible. Makes sense.

On a side note my wife was with me and we stopped to look at long guns, they had maybe 4 in the racks. Plenty of handguns in the glass case but rifles, muzzleloaders etc were gone. Our store quit selling guns years ago. After a few years they started selling pellet/BB guns and muzzle loaders but that's it. We had a gun store for awhile but he closed. The only place in town that sells guns is a little private store that sells guns, trapping supplies and bait but he's high and don't have many. We have to travel 25 miles to get to a decent place to buy guns.

He’s a tad higher in price but he’s local and not a box store or chain.

His prices are just too high for me to make that drive from Newburgh.

Yes, that’s the place. I don’t know him but knew the former owner Terry Eickoff. He’s just around the corner from my house.
