Pennsylvania has a new state record, that languished unrecognized in a garage for years. Nice to think there are still surprises out there. 2020 Penn RECORD BUCK

There is probably a few dozen (at least) more out there gathering dust in a garage or barn.

There is probably a few dozen (at least) more out there gathering dust in a garage or barn. NONE are from Indiana! We had one big deer get shot. He was a farm reject and a fluke. There aren't any big deer in Indiana. Heck, just ask around, we barely have deer at all in Indiana. If deer were migratory I'd swear they have been hanging out with the ducks and they all decided they hate Indiana.

IMO: This should not be considered a record of any kind since it's true origin cannot be verified.
No problem with recognizing possession of a rack, but not a record.

I can see people quibbling about the deer being accepted as a record because the hunter is dead, but then we would have to toss out the Jordan buck, also bought at a yard sale and verified as a world record with zero proof of it's origins. But that's just a personal thing. I do need to know, what would a game farm gain from a net 200" typical being bought in a yard sale?

The person with the anther's is the only one gaining anything from a high fence Deer be it the game farm or yard sale buyer. If known to be game farm it not eligible for National records The Jordon Deer was verified by the Hunter James Jordan once it was relocated in 1964 from my understanding www.boone-crockett.org/remembering-jordan-buckI do understand your point of "completely verified"

WOW, the last picture really puts it into perspective! It looks to me a lot like Mike Beatty's buck and asked how close the two were. Not even close. Even though it's been years, there are a lot of similarities but the distance negated any genetics. By third person connection, dad knew one of Mike's good hunting buddies and when he killed his deer he told him that there was one of similar size he was also hunting. Don't think anything ever came of it and he had zero reason to lie to him since they hunted together. That was my one claim to fame in my life. We were hunting big oaks when mike killed his buck and seen a picture of it fresh on the ground. Back in the day of crappy cell phones but you could see it was a stud. There is actually a funny story about the whole "the can" picture that was on all the primos packaging. Regardless areas of Ohio obviously grow monster non typicals
