I'll add this to my collection. I have the one with Hanson's deer on the cover, and a dog-eared copy of the one featuring the Minnesota Monarch. 25+ years ago I saw that magazine on a rack and bought it because I didn't know deer could look like that. Reading the issue, I thought, "This looks fun." What would 16 year old me have thought of a deer like Huff's, from my home county? Seems like a good guy.

Might want to blot out your address. Just what I would do at least.

I don't know anything about this fella besides what others have said about him. Based on that info, he seems like a very good person and I think it is great that he was the lucky hunter on this buck, very happy for him. In this day and age, with all the trailcams, named target bucks and yada yada, it is just cool for a guy to be able to go hunt a woodlot that he has not ventured into for years, not know that a world class buck lives there and get to kill the buck.

That to me was the coolest part of the story. Not that I wouldn't have been fine with some hard working guy that hunted him for years tagging the buck, but I like that this can still happen.
