I was on my way to check the cameras and approaching the driveway of the hunting property when I looked at the neighbors field and saw "spot"-- a doe that I first saw hunting in 2016 ( possibly '15... I can't remember). I've gotten her on trailcam several times since. It was almost dark the first time I saw her, so today, near sunset was the first time I have ever seen her in broad daylight. The old broad is probably pretty cagey. It's cool to know a deer has shared the woods with you that long. Makes you wonder how many like her are out there that we can't tell apart. Bellow is a still from a 2020 video.

The first time I saw her she was way across a field near dark. It took a while to realize what I was looking at.

I had a doe that was born on my lot and lived at least 10 years. My sons called her one leg. She had one leg brown all the way to hoofs and other three white from hoof to knee.

Many years ago Woodmaster killed doe in Kentucky that had a white blaze in the middle of its forehead like a horse. All four legs were white from the hooves to about 6 inches up. That’s the only doe he has mounted.

Wife and I just watch 11 doe-fawn-BB and 3 bucks cut through front yard and down the lane under my stand. 2 still had antlers. This is going to be a good year. The deer walked 10 to 15 feet from the house. Bird eye view.
