Yesterday a local grocery store had Yellow Lake Perch fillets for sale at $14.50 a pound. These fillets were skin on, very small in size and almost transparent. At the same place they also had Bluegill fillets for $15.00 a pound, they were decent size like you would catch and keep.
Checking other sources Perch is still up around $23.00 a pound on average and some retail outlets have stopped offering them because the net boats are not producing and the high cost has driven customers away.
Walleye are still at $15.00 a pound on average.
