Sitting by the front bay window watching television with the wife when suddenly a Humming bird appeared and buzzed around for for a few seconds then it sat on a nearby limb as if to tell us I am back and I am hungry.
The wife dug out a feeder and filled it with her favorite bird juice.
This is the first bird of the year and I believe this might be the earliest bird ever.

I have not seen one in our Mooresville area, probably get the feeder out, they should be close.

Warrick County -
I’ve had a couple but they seem to be just passing through.
I’ve had a bunch of grossbeaks that have been hitting my feeders on their way north. I wish they would stick around

The nectar flow is just now getting better. All these cold nights and rainy days have stopped the plants producing a lot of nectar. Just this past week I seen a lot in the hives. Nectar is a bonus for the plants to produce. If stressed, it will not produce much or any nectar.

My daughter just spotted one this evening flying around where we normally have a feeder up. Guess it’s time to put it back out.

Got ours out over the weekend but no visitors yet. The finches however are very happy their feeder is full of thistle seed.
