The second case filed has now been dismissed as well. The only thing pending now is the civil case. I cannot even fathom how the land owner and his attorney can speak of "damages" incurred for floating over a couple feet of their land for a few seconds. The unmitigated greed and ill-intentions of large landowners like this is pretty disgusting. I have to deal with it regularly out here in CO and WY and it is infuriating....especially given the various ways they are enriched even further off the government (OUR taxes) teat!!!

I love to read the law where airspace is defined as personal property

I love to read the law where airspace is defined as personal property I think I’ve read where some folks got into trouble shooting down drones flying over their property

So shooting down a drone is a no no. Taking them down by any means is a Federal offense. Would they always prosecute? Who knows. With the proliferation of the things, new rules will have to come along if they haven't already. Pretty soon every city will probably have them buzzing all over, to ensure your "safety."

You have property rights from a vertical plane going to the heavens along your property lines but you dont control the air space or have a right to destroy someone else personal property. That includes tree limbs, so at least get permission from your neighbor to trim if it is their tree.

When will the property owners start charging a trespass fee to all the commercial airliners that fly over their property? Nwe revenue stream maybe?

With the proliferation of the things, new rules will have to come along if they haven't already. Pretty soon every city will probably have them buzzing all over, to ensure your "safety." This is why drones should not have been classified as an aircraft. No one should be forced to invasion of their privacy by these spy cameras disguised as "aircraft".
