I'd sell any of my pigs to anyone on here for half that price. Quite a bargain! I'm pretty sure every species of livestock has some examples of something selling for crazy money. A friend of a friend sold a goat for 70K a few years back. Yes, I said a goat.

Same for selling honeybee queens. Some of the pure breed queens go up to $3000.00 for one bee.

Hard to believe but 1 vial of sperm can cost a ton of money this maybe stupid prices but if you look at the owners and name they have breeding stock in the plan or something along that line I’m sure and will probably have that back in a short time

It's all about the genetics.
Go ahead and laugh, I'm getting Smallmouth Bass that have certain genetic history for broodstock. IS a difference, and 99% of the fish hatcheries have no idea where their Smallies came from genetics wise. There is a genetic strain that tops out at 3#. I don't want any trace of that strain in my fish. I will be getting my broodstock fish genetically tested.

The sad thing is they never get to enjoy any of it and I’m not talking the money side

I know those aren't the kind of pigeons that I'm looking for, but I am looking for pigeons to use for dog training. They will be a one-time use though, so the cheaper the better. Do you have any suggestions on where I should look? When I lived in Ca. I used to get them from a lady and husband that trapped pigeons in the city near all the food establishments. They'd have 1,000's of birds trapped weekly. I'd use roughly 3-6 per day for the next few months.

Want to see what genetics get you and cost of sire, look at coon dogs. I'll stick with white trash beagles.

I know they have a big auction there every 2-3 months. I'll see if they still have the weekly sales. I don't know if they started them back up after Covid.
