Actually, it’s Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, MO. Since I’m trekking toward another job in Kansas I stopped in Springfield intending to check it out. Some 10-12 years ago (don’t remember exactly) I was one of the contractors hired to help install the water purification system. I’ve seen the ins and outs of the “belly of the whale” but never the completed renovation. When I got to the admission desk I was a bit floored by the $48 single ticket price. So I decided to opt out for now. Just curious, Anybody been there? Thoughts?

That’s interesting. The site shows $44.50 for a single day adult ticket. I was told $48! And the sign behind the desk said $52! Obviously, there must be variable rates and various discounts.

Still seems steep to me. But hey "museuming" ain't easy! I'm sure it's pretty cool but too rich for my blood.

We thought about it when we stayed in Branson, but decided to spend a day at Silver Dollar City instead. Price difference wasn’t much more after we received discounts.

Nope. Based on price to attend I doubt I ever will.

The Bass-Pro store in Portage has gone down hill a lot. They don't any ATV'S or BOATS out front around the store, the store itself is filthy and the aquarium is nothing but average bass and a few other small fish.

Most chatter we hear is staffing shortages. Still want to know where all the staff went? Still want to know where they are getting their money to live. Our money tree never bloomed like theirs apparently.

The local chevy lot is lucky to have 15 used vehicles on the lot. Try to find new or lightly used vehicles or boats is difficult. The Jeffersonville location boat inventory, last trip there, were 3 or 4. No deep V fishing boats or bass boats. Only 1 pontoon and rest were river jons.

Cracked windshield all the makings of a sweet ride. Asking $2900...lol if it sells close to that I need to quit my job and just sell junk like that

I did take a bit to scope out their fly fishing museum! I was the only one in there and I’m sure it does not mean much to a lot of people! For me, it was awesome! Everything from the first ancient flies to early and famous split cane rods! Definitely a place for Luke and y’all to check out if ever possible!

My parents have been to the museum more than once and seem to enjoy it.
I haven't noticed the Clarksville BPS being any better or worse than it always has been. Decent selection, non-existent knowledgeable service, slow as hell check outs. The shoe department should be serve yourself. Absolutely no service. I was there a few weeks and had to walk past the "employees only" area to find someone out of the break room to get me some shoes to try on. The check outs are terrible. Just tell me how much I owe, scan my card, and let me leave. That's it.
I've never liked the Portage store. I go there a few times a year when visiting the FIL and never seem to find anything that I am interested in buying.

I went about 3 years ago, the aquarium is one of, if not the, best I've ever been to.
