After killing my deer Wednesday I used my phone and called my wife to give her a heads up and to get ready to help me gut this deer. It was snowing to beat the band and it was dark as we started out. I used my MULE to pull the deer to a spot in the far corner of my place to gut it. During this time I had my phone in my front top side entry pocket of my coveralls or so I thought because when I got back to the house it was gone !@5o%. I got the wife and her phone and we went back out to retrace our steps which were now covered with another 2" of fresh snow and more falling fast. The first place we stopped was at the location where the deer expired my wife called my phone which didn't ring but under the fresh snow there was a glow from the screen of my phone THANK YOU LORD!
The funny thing is I had silenced my phone but lucky for me the phone landed screen side up.
Remember to un-silence your phone and zip up the pocket you put it in.

Looks like it was your lucky day in more ways than one.

Good deal. The ONLY time I misplace my phone is when the ringer is OFF. 🙄

I’ve got an old flip phone laying somewhere in southern Illinois. It was on mute so Woodmaster calling it didn’t help.
I’ve also got a rangefinder somewhere in a bog Alberta..
I’m good at losing things… 😉

I’ve lost one in a creek while beaver trapping, one down a ice hole while fishing. That’s pretty common up here while ice fishing, how they land in a 8 inch hole I have no idea, like they are drawn to them!

I’m good at losing things… 😉 I lost a pager many years ago in a section of HNF in another county. The following year, my wife's stepfather was bloodtrailing a deer he'd shot and the bloodtrail went right over the pager! We're talking way back in the woods! Obviously the pager was ruined, but I'm still amazed that it was found at all.
