Bad scar. Guessing someone injured this guy last year. 1st pic I thought it was a huge doe. The other side does not show any damage

Tough animals! He'll probably be on the mend next year and have a basket rack. Folks will insist he's a 250lb 1.5 year old. That funny little antler looks vaguely like some of those bucks with undescended bollocks. I wonder if there is a nubbin on the other side? Cool capture.

Tough animals! He'll probably be on the mend next year and have a basket rack. Folks will insist he's a 250lb 1.5 year old. That funny little antler looks vaguely like some of those bucks with undescended bollocks. I wonder if there is a nubbin on the other side? Cool capture. The daytime pic shows both antlers. It reminds me of the tiny hand memes. Lol If he was one of the bigger ones last year he lost 95% antler growth. The wound still looks bad so not sure he will ever have normal antlers but who knows he may have a massive rack next July

Tiny hands! lol.
I shot a buck in 2013 that was nearly emaciated, and had a chest and knees covered with scar tissue, perhaps healed road rash. He was eating well at the time and seemed to be on the mend. In spite of obviously having a rough year he still had a decent rack. I often wonder what he would have been in ideal circumstances.
