Not sure if this counts, but laugh tracks kill me... and I feel like they haven't changed since the beginning of time. At this point I basically write the show off it's new.

In every scene where a car pulls up and stops, the brakes squeak. Apparently every car in the movies and TV needs brake work... Or how every car squeals the tires when it takes off or turns. I was watching a movie yesterday and an old Ford taurus was taking off at an average speed with a nice tire squeal sound. The wife & I were laughing awhile back while watching an old Hawaii 5-0 show. There was a chase on dirt & gravel roads with more tire squealing than you hear in a street drag race.

This one might be unique to Clint Eastwood spaghetti Westerns, but do you remember every bullet would ricochet, especially when they were shooting the hat in the air?

I am surprised no one has mentioned the sparking bullets.
The worst sound effects were in Last of the Mohican's. In the one battle scene you could tell they were shooting blanks.
The best were in Gettysburg. They recorded the shots at the NSSA national matches. Real canons and musket fire.

Dances with wolves.. the Indian rides up next a bison, shoots him with a dinky arrow in the bison’s hump and it takes him down and he dies on the spot.
I WANT one of those bow and arrows!

Can’t believe no one’s mentioned the woman running from the bad guy in her 6 inch stilettos. Take the dang things off and get the heck outta there.

What about the older horror movies? Why do pretty young ladies go walking in the woods? At night? In their underwear? Why in the world would you stand around crying waiting for Jason to wake up after being knocked unconscious? Either run or pick up something and pulverize him!!!!

That was probably a sinew backed plains bow. They didn't have access to good bow making wood. They made do with what they had. Probably a heavy weight bow and a heavy shaft arrow. I made a 24" long sinew backed bow. The draw weight is close to 40 lbs at 12". At a very close range (5 yards) I have no doubt I could kill a deer with it.
