Not my cup of tea and @ $1,500 I do believe I'll take a hard pass.

It seems like an attempt to appeal to a younger generation that has an interest in lever guns. I am a walnut and blue steel kind of guy. These days there are a lot of guns that do not appeal to me. Guys have been converting lever guns to tacticl for quite a few years. As the article said short barrels and tube mags put a crimp on the tacticl part of their rifles. The mags remove that short coming. It also takes the "assult rifle" out of the discussion. It may fit into states that would not allow a semi-auto version of the same gun. I saw a lever action lever action that was designed to get around Australia's laws. For some people it will save them money on mag dumps.

It might be a way to get around the "assault weapon" regs in some states too.
