Yesterday evening around 8:00 a vehicle stopped in our driveway for a short time, we saw a man run up to our house and back to the vehicle then leave. We checked our porch and there was a package from AMAZON PRIME addressed to my wife. She opened the package then looked at me asking why I ordered this item and had it shipped to her. I DIDN'T. My wife spent the next hour on and off the phone and computer with Amazon and this is what we were told. A party whom AMAZON won't name ordered this item using a credit card I personally closed out about a year ago. The item was sent to the billing address which is us. Amazon realized there was some kind of computer glitch on their part, apologized and said keep the package. The package contained something that is absolutely of no value to us. Today Amazon just delivered 2 more packages we didn't order.

I would definitely change your password for Amazon Absolutely… I’d call them again too. That is weird that Amazon is processing a closed credit card account?

Definitely change your Amazon PW. Also call the bank/company that originally issued the credit card and talk with them. And lastly...what were the items?

I'd go as far as changing all of your passwords, once they get one it is from a wide data breach. Generally Google will give you an alert if a password that's saved has been compromised. I've been hacked a few times and it is really frustrating.

The first package was a small bottle of INDIA ink. The second two packages contained an old fashion ink pen set with a verity of tips and a artist's sketch pad.
My wife spent about 1 1/2 hours on the phone with AMAZON and we finally figured it out. These items were sent to my wife as birthday gift by one of her friends, apparently when her friend entered my wife's mailing address the AMAZON computer keyed in on our address and that's how our credit card info came into play. The card was not used but it still recognized in AMAZON'S computer.
The first representative was not quite correct on this, the second rep. was able to tell my wife the senders first name and city of origin which solved the mystery.
Amazon does not provide shipping info with the orders it only has the address label that it is to be shipped to.

This is what we did however if the first person we spoke to at AMAZON would have been trained better we could have resolved this after the first incident. Amazon's computers are set up to recognize names and addresses and that's OK but if I am calling to find out who the sender of a package is and I am communicating with an agent by both computer e-mail with my secure password and by phone with human being this should have been resolved the first time.
