This morning we had 17 degrees at sunrise with a very light dusting of snow on the ground from yesterdays all day long lake effect snows.
Our woods was loaded with ROBINS and when I went to town to get the Sunday news papers they were everywhere.
I believe we are at the far Northern edge of their migration path and they are bunching up here because areas to the North such as Wisconsin and Michigan are still snow covered and have frozen ground.
At one time there had to be over a hundred in sight in our woods turning over the leaves looking for food.

Same here, along with Cardinals, and turkey buzzards have returned. NE LaPorte county.
This weekend is Sugar Camp Days at Bendix Woods County Park. We normally try to go, but dang cold so far for our liking.

Was driving here the other evening after work and had a hundred of them fly in front of me.

They are here pretty much all year. Maybe gone a month. The buzzards are more noticeable. They leave in December and return in February.

I've been seeing a ton of buzzards back. It's definitely nice hearing the robins again. It means turkey season is just around the bend!
