I just bought a ryobi 18v pole saw. This thing will cut a 6” branch no problem. I used it yesterday to trim a green ash tree the emerald ash borer got into and killed some big branches (12”). Cut them easily just went side to side. Reaches 9.5 feet and not that heavy. Went with ryobi because I have about 20 of their 18v tools. Hate to tell you this, but your ash tree is doomed if ash borers are in it. Your tree will be completely dead in a couple of years if not sooner.

What model did you get? I'm debating on getting one. In regards to a string trimmer, I need one now, and I have a Ryobi 4-stroke that I haven't fired up in maybe 10 years. Debating whether it's worth it to fix it if it needs fixin' or go battery powered. No trees or brush, just a lot of grass. I will be re-designing the landscaping so I can hit everything with the riding mower in the future. OR use Roundup as my edger..... www.lowes.com/pd/EGO-EGO-765CFM-BLOWER-KIT/5005381953Thanks!!!
