I’m cleaning out my freezer’s of meat ( allergic reaction to meat) and have about 20 pounds of beef fat I ground last winter for mixing with deer meat this fall. I’m in Evansville. Free. Also just bought a newer grinder last fall selling for $75.

I really feel for you Bill. What a bad deal you have to go thru. Hopefully you can find something that sustains your taste buds.

I’m 64 so probably won’t be a cure in my future. Just trying to help out some one who processes their own deer and needs some ground beef fat to add.

Tested positive in a high range for that and red meat allergies, all red meat.

My numbers are in the high range as far as allergic reaction. There are people worse then me. I’ve been advised by the allergist not to touch red meat or smell meat cooking. Have to wear rubber gloves that cover my arms when I gut a deer. I won’t skin them no more but will get them processed.

If someone has a tick on them and want to know if it is carrying a disease you can send the tick off and have it tested just google “test your tick” there is a place in Pennsylvania that’s well known for its testing.

Been doing a lot of reading on Alpha-Gal, they really do not know how it’s transmitted to humans. Tick bites yes, but it’s found in over 12 countries and the lone star tick is not there. Scientists think maybe chiggers also transmit it, it was named in 2009 so it’s fairly new.

What happens if you would eat red meat? Do you get sick? Break out in a rash? I have been reading about this but have never really heard what it does to your body. I wish you the best.

What happens if you would eat red meat? Do you get sick? Break out in a rash? I have been reading about this but have never really heard what it does to your body. I wish you the best. My reaction was anaphylactic shock. First I broke out into a body rash then sweating then swelling my eyes shut and my tongue 3 times it’s size. My hands and arms swelled where they couldn’t find a blood pressure or pulse. Along with passing out every time I tried to set up. Every one is different so hard to say what would happen next time. My only relief was when I projectile vomited 3 times in the ER, once I emptied my stomach I got better.
