What a spectacular moonrise. The wife and I enjoyed the show along with our dogs.

I still can’t see it due to all the trees around us.

I got to see it from the concrete jungle of downtown South Bend.
Unfortunately, I miss the weekday sunsets because there is a huge building to the west right next to us. It's the old Singer Sewing Machine building.

It's so bright it's casting shadows.

Yep, and all that light makes it hard to see the Big Dipper, my youngest daughters favorite find. That moon was beautiful.

While working a job in Akron, Ohio I got this pic from my grandson. He was out with his Sony A7iii and telescope.

Very nice photos! I didn't look. Trees block the horizon plus the moon is not of major interest for me, preferring deep Sky objects for my telescope. But having a blue moon that is also a supermoon is a pretty rare event. My dad came in last night after doing chores and commented on it!

It was certainly striking. I got a good view of it through the treetops of Clifty as I was leaving the gate.
