Been hunting the same property for over 45 years in Gibson County. Been out 3 times this year with zero luck. They're not cutting on walnuts. Actually have seen far more deer while hunting than squirrels. Anyone else having the same luck?

My son and I have been out a few times now and only seen 1. It’s just too hard to spot them right now I suppose. I can still hear them carrying on, but haven’t seen them moving as much as they usually do (in my opinion anyway)

I hunted last night. I’ve noticed and it may be me but they were not in my hickory’s they were in the oaks and waaay up high. Since it’s so thick I’ve only seen 2 but they did not stay still enough for me to get a clean shot.

And I’m sitting here on my back deck watching four of them feed up in trees, but I just don’t want to mess with cleaning and eating them.

I have seen far fewer squirrels this year than before at my public spots at Glendale. But boy were they plentiful up where we deer hunt. I saw 5 more squirrels besides the 5 I got.

Went out and moved some cameras and brought my squirrel gun. I probably covered 3 or 4 miles and only ever saw 1! My sling broke (just got it, first trip out) while on my shoulder and it hit the ground suppressor first. Ugh.

Hoosier National Forest, because we can't even put a dent them tree rats. My wife's uncle and I can get our daily limit in no longer than 1 hour of being in the woods.

We camped at HNF this past weekend and I lost count of the number of squirrels I saw just sitting at our campsite. All gray squirrels.

I’ve never seen a gray here Suburban/urban areas and really small woodlots are the last bastion of the fox squirrel. Most all the woods I've been in over the last 40 years have been almost totally taken over by grays. Used to shoot maybe 10% grays and now it's 10% or less fox squirrels. Seems the smaller the woods, the better the chance of seeing a fox squirrel.

The little wood lot I’m deer hunting this year is absolutely over run by Fox squirrels the size of house cats (small house cats haha) I can’t wait to knock down a couple does so I can start knocking them out of the trees. They were clipping walnuts off that collapsed my blind the other day haha
