Got almost to my tree, 2 hours before shooting light, feeling good and then there is a flashlight shining from exactly where my trail cam has been sitting for weeks. No other cars here, nothing, but there is a guy in my spot. I cruise around the outside of this old DNR drive, and another light shines from a tree. And then another. I got here at 430 am and I am STILL the only car in the parking lot. I don’t know how anyone gets anything done on state land.

When life gives you lemons... Maybe use the day to scout or explore another part of the property. I'd be finding out where those guys parked though. Good luck maybe you can catch one getting back to bed.

Shot a doe sounded wet she jumped over a junk car I seen her walk off wagging tail couldn't seee shot. I didn't follow threw 😕. Hoping for recovery.

Good luck maybe you can catch one getting back to bed. I drove around to the back where they were and there is a piece of private on the back side that would only be a couple minute walk to my spot. Guess I’ve never seen anyone back there because they don’t have to sign in and walk the range road to the back of the property like I do. |

Not taking anything home other than mosquitoe bites and spider webs. Climbed out of the stand and went for a nature hike, and apparently the US Forestry Department is trying to make a statement by not clearing out the walking lane going to the back of the property. Had several trees to wiggle through and 5ft tall weeds and briars to navigate through only to have a young doe bust out in front of me and another deer on the other side of the ditch blowing and stomping its foot. Not much activity on the cameras either, 1 lonely doe on the wife's uncle's camera and 2 does, 1 buck, 3 coons, and a fox on mine. Might have to spend the rest of the day scouting out another spot until activity picks up if it even does.

Don’t know what I would do without you. Even if they signed in (they may have, but there were only a couple names before mine and I passed more cars than that on the way there) they probably would have driven back home before walking in from the back. |

I had to get down at 9am, birthday party at noon for a granddaughter. I got down and out quietly so I don’t think the buck heard or saw me.
