It's going to leave a dent.
My Walnut trees are really loaded this year but one tree in particular has produced some "HUGE" fruits.

I have about 12 black walnut trees, but none in the yard. I cut one down so I wouldn't.

I'm always worried about driving down a country road and having one hit the windshield. If I can, I drive on the opposite side of the road "just in case".

I worry about the same thing with the windshields. Those are some bigguns for sure.

Is the actual nut inside bigger too? Yes the nut is inside, the green is the husk. Years ago I had one hit the hood of a 2 month old new Ford Escape right on a ridge of the hood. I couldn't have it removed by the PAINTLES DENT COMPANY and repairing the hood would have set me back about $600.00 since it didn't break the paint I learned to live with that dent. I have several Hedge Apple trees on my road along with numerous Walnut trees so I always am on the lookout and praying.

I broke a windshield at 50mph a couple years ago with a walnut strike. Scared the crap outta me, and then madder than heck as you can imagine.

A friend of mine had just bought a new Dodge truck and parked it near a walnut tree. He decided to run his mouth and show off with his .22. He was a darn good shot and picked off some walnuts high in the tree. Too bad two of them from one shot hit his truck hood. The truck still had the temporary paper license plate. He didn't find it near as funny as the rest of us did.

I remember when I was kid we had 2 Walnut trees in our barn yard. I would get a stick and walnut and act like I was playing golf.

Huge abundance of walnuts in our area this year, same as the acorn crop.

The English is what you buy at the store.
