I am going to tell on my self and hope you get a laugh. Made an appointment to drop of car for a recall, pick up a loaner then on to hospital for her kemo infusion. We get up and start getting ready to leave so I go to bedroom to pick up billfold and pocket pistol but no billfold ! Just had it yesterday morning to make sure insurance card was up to date so I can get loaner. I am limited on time because of hospital but tear house apart.bedroom, kitchen table, desk, under lounge chair, all crevices in furniture, check car,no where to be found. Have to head out so go to shop and with no credit card to pick up loaner. They gave me car anyways so went on to hospital. Just racking my mind as to where it is at. Finally got home and started to look some more. Wala I found it. It was in the left rear pocket of the pants I had on. Note I cary it in my right and ware loos fitting jeans. Had it all day. Felt like an idiot. But I donot have to replace all important stuff and am relieved. Have a laugh on me guys

We are creatures of habit! For instance, I still carry a comb!

I lost my wallet one day. I looked everywhere for it. I was sure I left it on the table at a restaurant. That evening I opened the door to the 2nd bathroom in the house and it was laying in front of the toilet. It fell out while I was taking care of some business that morning before work. Like you, I felt dumb but relieved to have found it.

I carry mine in my left pocket. As soon as I sat down I would know exactly where it was because I hate wearing it in my right pocket. That's a pretty good story One Bent Arrow, if I added up all the dumb stuff I ever did... We'd be here reading for a loooooooong time ha ha ha! Glad you found it though!

I'm glad it was in your back pocket and not someone else's. We've all been there before! Heck, I own 4 vacation homes and prime real estate in "Spaceville". Thinking of running for mayor....lol

That’s great! The ability to “ tell on yourself” is a good trait! Good luck with the treatments.

BTDT…
Several times I’ve left my billfold and/or my money clip in my previous day’s pants back pocket. Usually my Sunday go to church pants. Strange feeling to reach for your back pocket and nothing is there.
I thought it was just us old folks that did that? 😉

I have one better than that. Spent five minutes looking for the tv remote, found it in my hand.

I was once in the line at the gas station and a woman in front of me pulled the tv remote out of her purse looking for her money and said, “oh man, my husband is going to be really mad about this.”

I have one better than that. Spent five minutes looking for the tv remote, found it in my hand. My dad was looking for his glasses one time for like 10 min and had them on. We did not know what he was looking for so we didnot tell him he was wearing them

I've made it to the shooting range without the ammo before. Still inconvenient even if it's only a mile from the house.

I've gone rifle hunting with no bullets AND bowhunting without my quiver of arrows.

Lets see, took a gun to a buddy's house to shoot, put the bolt for the gun in the case, with the gun. Only problem was the bolt was for a .257 Weatherby instead of a 7mm wildcat.
Drove 45 min. out to the hunting spot and left the rifle leaning against the garage.
2 weekends ago I went to shoot International Bunker Trap, 5-stand and skeet. Had 3 hours to shoot all 3, and it was a 40 minute drive one way. Get there and I had cylinder chokes in the gun, which was fine for skeet except I left the skeet shells at home, all I had was 3/4 oz practice loads for my 12 ga. (for skeet). I didn't even try to shoot the other 2 because I had left all my other choke tubes at home.....
