To post pictures of the shooting tripod I made from a camera tripod I acquired at a garage sale. Some of the knobs were missing which I got from the local hardware and I took a piece of trex decking for the rest. You cam put a sandbag or your hand on the rest. This is for when I gun hunt out of a portable blind on a field edge for stable long shots. Sorry I took so long to post but I leave the tripod at hunting camp and would forget to take pictures when there 20231027_201900 20231027 If you notice the legs are adjustable to about 4 feet tall. It is just sitting on table for picturescollapsed Onebentarrow

Looks good. I am enjoying ground blinds more every year and use them often now. I've made a couple rests out of same tripod you show. Two favorite are an 8" long vee cradle with drop down for the pistol grip on TC Encores (works with any style gun), and a c-clamp type with home made padded jaws. The best part is they hold the gun in position, so you dont have to make much movement to get ready.

I got this one for $5 so thought I would give it a shot. Works well. I am not really fond of ground blinds but will use them when the weather or landscape dictates. I would much rather be 20 to 25 feet up in a tree stand.
