I realize we are all living in the same economy, I'm just venting. I ran a few errands after work, I went to the bank and paid the mortgage, paid the car payment, and got a few things from Wally World. It's like the money comes in one door and it goes out the next! The price of everything is gone up so much I work hard for the money that I get and I'm grateful for my job but I can't imagine how it would be if we made less money or how it would be if something really bad happened and I lost my job or had to get a lower paying job. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that are hurting right now. Something has to break in this economy and unfortunately I think it's breaking the working class!

Really want to test your thoughts? I didnt get a paycheck last week. It was a vacation week, and my time didnt get submitted correctly. Of course my mortgage, truck, and quarterly insurance payments on 3 cars hit on autopay during that time. Then add 2 bills for groceries and gas on top. Last company was on biweekly pay schedule, so use to it, but still sucks when you expect a deposit to be made. On a high note, they made good this week, plus paid me unused sick days, so I felt like a high roller this time. Lol

I ran into a bunch of marked down ribeyes and a couple tomahawks today. 😎 That put a dinger on the pocket too.

I'm crafting a couple of the world's tiniest violins I'll let you know when they are done. It shouldn't take long.

You be surprised the amount of people that actually have the money to spend on overpriced stuff. Seems to be a lot money available and it’s moving around from what I am seeing! A lot people should demand to make more money and stop working for ends meat IMO

The unions might be able to pull that off but in a non-union shop they'll just find somebody else to do the job. I can't go anywhere else and make the money I'm making now starting off.

Is there really that many folks looking for jobs in your area ? Places can’t find help up here it seems… People are almost getting what they want if they are dependable and want to work!

We havent hired anybody worth a dang in years! My pay has gone up and up from working hard and being dependable, so I'm hanging on for all I'm worth.

The inflation rate has finally just dropped to 2-3%.Keep your fingers crossed that it stays low, maybe wages will start catching up.

Gas is down, grocery trip coming up, we will see. Last time was just manageable, unless you eat meat - then wow!

What the political parties or press doesn’t tell you and someone else may have pointed this out is that the current inflation is on top of last year’s inflation so prices are not down compared to when Trump left office. Inflation may have slowed rising as fast as last year but it’s still rising.

Gas is fickle, I think it does what someone wants it to, seems to drop just prior to a big election. I think a lot of us saw this coming when the checks started showing up around covid, we saw it, just couldn't stop it.

Most people do not need a federal bureaucracy to tell them if inflation is up or down.
We can see it in our the items we actually purchase. Nothing is really going down or staying the sane for that matter.
Well, maybe our 401Ks are going down..

It's definitely heart wrenching, irritating, sad, etc. going anywhere and doing any shopping. Everything has gone up the past few years and I have really felt the pinch this last year.
You hear them on the radios stating that "Americans are spending more this Halloween or this Christmas..." And I'm sure they had. But, I'm also betting that they're getting less.
