I have somehow misplaced my Woolrich Buffalo red plaid flannel that my wife got me a few years ago.
How has this tragedy happened?! How can I be a respected rabbit hunter without it? Is it even ethical to hunt small game without one? How about the legality of it?!
NOOOOO!!!

Quick fix. Trip to Walmart, and only let her see you across the yard or distant picture. Should buy some time. LOL

I'm looking for new ones now. I feel bad as these one she bought was not cheap. He k, I don't even know how long it's been "missing". She got me a new pair of brush guard pants for upland and rabbit hunting. I washed them this moyand went to hang them up but, noticed the flannel gone. I know I wore it last season while rabbit hunting. When I get home later, I'll be looking everywhere for it.

Somewhere there is a hole that has all the crap I have lost over the 40 years I have been hunting, from gloves to hats to shirts to glenns deer handle drags to headlamps and the lsit goes on and on. I seem to misplace or lose crap all the time during deer season. this year I had one of those nice green polypropelean army neck gaders and for the life of me I cannot find it. I have looked in every coat, pants pocket and drawer, never did find it. I can't seem to find another anywhere either.

When I find something I like, I usually buy 3 or 4 exactly alike.
"Lost? I never lost anything, I just still need one more."

My buddy gave it to me, and I about cried when it left. I cant find anything even close to it. I have several others that work, but...😡 I do have MY Glens Deer Handle still at least. Lol. Very good invention! Esshup has a homemade one from a ski rope, and they work surprisingly well in the leaves, and when dragging a reasonable distance or rough terrain. I'm sold on it.

Is it even ethical to hunt small game without one? How about the legality of it?! NOOOOO!!! Don't feel bad. 3 weeks ago this coming Monday I lost my keyring. Keys for 3 houses, outbuildings, padlocks, etc., etc. I had to have the keys when I locked the keys to the tractor away, then when I tried to unlock my house I didn't have them. I literally walked about 75 feet on concrete to the truck, drove straight home and they were gone. I was NOT in any public area, not on gravel, etc., etc. I can't tell you how many hours I spent looking for them and they are nowhere to be found. I still have to go to a locksmith and have a few keys made that can't be made at the hardware store or big box store.

I have a huge tote , almost like a gang box, with a gasket built in the lid. At the end of the season, I put "ALL" hunting stuff in there. Trail cameras, calls, clothes, scents, field spray, laundry detergent, body wash, deodorant, and my ScentLoc duffle bag. Yep, everything goes in it, and I even put locks on it, just so my son will stay out of it lol. During the season, I keep most of my equipment/clothes in the vehicle in that ScentLoc duffel bag along with what my wife's uncle needs in there.

Well, I got my Woolrich red, buffalo plaid flannel in the mail today. It's built well and I'm sure I'll love it but, it's just not the same feeling as the one Daphne got me. I'll have to be more careful with this one.

Many, many moons ago, I had a red and black buffalo plain lined shirt. It was a K-Mart special, all polyester, with a quilted lining with some light fill material. It was more of a shirt than a jacket. It was great for hunting early in the season. I had it for a few years and wore it all the time in the fall.
Anyway, suddenly it was nowhere to be found. I went nuts looking for it. Finally after a few days of looking I asked my wife if she'd seen it. I hadn't asked her until then because whenever I ask if she knows where something is I get the look, and the speech "If you put things where they belong you wouldn't be looking for them!"
The wife told me she noticed it was frayed at the cuff, had a small hole from a brushpile ember and was missing a button, so she THREW IT AWAY!!!!! She said, "What's the big deal, just go get another one". I tried but wasn't able to find anything like it. Thinking about her throwing that shirt away now, and I just realized, if I'd done what first came to mind, they'd probably have let me out by now.

About 10 years ago while on vacation in upper Michigan the wife and I stopped at a small church resail shop. These little shops are a great place to find some real bargains. I found a Bemidji Wool white buffalo check shirt which is like a light weight jacket and it was in my size. I also found a 100% bulk wool stocking hat. These are some of the warmest items I have ever bought. I don't believe anyone ever wore the hat and the shirt was like brand new. Both items cost me about $5.00 total.
