Very interesting Has a lot of very well thought out parts on it but I just can’t get past that stock. Looks like it was beat up by an ugly stick.

After the customer service fiasco that I had when I sent a revolver back to Taurus in 2007 or so I won't buy anything else from them. Luckily the Hardware Store owner (where I shipped the gun from) knew me and called me when the gun was shipped back to him without any of my information in or on the box.

After 3 years of selling Taurus products the only one I can truly recommend are the 22 semi auto. Those jokers work really well. Other than those, the amount we get back with problems are unacceptable in my mind.....but due to them being cheap there is a demand. My standard reply to folks looking to buy a Taurus pistol is to save another hundred bucks and buy a Shield Plus. ANY new products from them need some SERIOUS vetting.....and coming in at that price point? Hhhhhmmmmm.....

Does the world really need another ugly, black plastic, matte finished, plastic magazine, rifle that looks more like a Dewalt power tool than a decent rifle?

No. I do love nice wood with pretty figuring BUT for shooting performance you simply cannot beat the adjustability and structure of precision style stocks made from good stiff composites. Woox makes a great combo but it is $$$$$$.

It appears this rifle is based very heavily on the Remington 700.
Will it be worth a flip? I don't know, but for the price it ought to be.

I have had decent luck with Taurus. I know others have not. My first one 20 years ago was not too hot. I feel like their quality has improved a good bit though. I just bought a .38 856 Defender 3". Not quite my S&W, but a pretty solid gun. Good trigger, shoots great.
I also have a Taurus .45 1911 - I had some problems with the slide lock from the git-go. Poor machining. I finally had to rework a slide lock pin myself to fix it.
My .357 has been a champ.

If this had come in under the price of a Ruger American by a bit....say at $450......MAYBE give it a chance. We have the new Ruger American Gen IIs in now for $579.99.......These folks have lost their mind.

If they drop the price to $500-$700, that's puts it in a very overcrowded part of the market where it might have a tough time getting noticed. Either way, it looks like a tough row to hoe for the Taurus Expedition.
