DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR officials have moved Monday’s rescheduled Xfinity Series race until after the season-opening Daytona 500 because of rain.
The Xfinity Series’ United Rentals 300, which was pushed to 11 a.m. ET Monday after its Saturday afternoon slot was also washed away, is now scheduled to start roughly one hour after the Cup Series event, approximately a 9 p.m. ET start time at Daytona International Speedway.
The 300-mile Xfinity event will be televised on FS1 with radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Rookie Jesse Love will lead the field to the green flag from the pole position.

That footage of the wreck snapping Ryan Blaneys thumb in the steering wheel was impressive.

Be interesting to see if NASCAR penalizes Richard Childress racing for allowing Busch to leave the pits with no locking nut on the left front wheel.

Be interesting to see if NASCAR penalizes Richard Childress racing for allowing Busch to leave the pits with no locking nut on the left front wheel. What? Is Nascar worried that someone will steal the wheel and tire?

Be interesting to see if NASCAR penalizes Richard Childress racing for allowing Busch to leave the pits with no locking nut on the left front wheel. If the wheel doesn't come off I don't believe it's a penalty…..

Penalties are handed out for loose lug nuts. Not anymore since they went to a single nut …. In the lower series maybe I am surprised the wheel didn’t come off … I missed that episode I guess

At the beginning of the race JOEY LOGANO had to do pass through the pits as punishment for violating a rule regarding his gloves. Attached is the reason he got penalized.
Before the Ambetter Health 400, Joey Logano received a controversial penalty due to his glove not meeting safety requirements. The glove in question was used in qualifying but may have not been the glove Logano planned to use in the NASCAR race today.
Regardless, Joey Logano did use the glove. NASCAR took a look at it Sunday morning and found that there was an alteration made to the glove. Due to the alteration, it did not meet SFI requirements and was a safety violation.
According to NASCAR, the glove was webbed between the index and thumb. It seems that Logano used the glove to block more air in his window than he normally would be able to.
Here is Larry McReynolds explaining the penalty and consequences on FOX RaceDay.
