My 7 year old will be starting softball this year. I have no clue what glove to buy her, I've coached boys for 13 years, girls softball is new territory for me. Any help is appreciated!

Over 15 years of being a "travel ball coach/Dad", get her something that fits her hand and you can break in easily. I wouldn't go crazy with money until you are sure she likes softball. Good luck, they're only little for a short time, enjoy the ride!

I agree, at entry level it should be big enough to help get the ball into the glove but not to the point it is hard to use.
Enjoy the sport. My girl played through her sophomore year in hs. We had fun without doing the travel ball until she was 12 to 15 and then it was more like a local Allstars and not the kind that travel all over the Midwest or more.

She needs a glove that flexes easy.

I spent too much money on tennis gear for our youngest to play one season. She has never touched a racket since.

That's just about what we got for her, just a touch smaller. She's an itty bitty thing. Wotking on breaking it in now. Thanks all! We've got plenty of baseball stuff laying around just hadn't worried about softball yet.

I’m not much for doing it with the high-end gloves later on, but you can always have them steam it as well. Will definitely help them grip the ball with their small hands.
