I dont know why but I think those types of bucks are more impressive than just a main frame symetrical one (thats just imo though). The one buck has a straight up very narrow rack and then the nxt buck has a much wider rack, you really have some very diverse bucks on your property ! I was just gonna say the same thing, neat diversity in the gene pool!

Cost of spring and it would need a whole new trigger and everything... It complicated, but the gun is in bad condition anyways.

Apples, apples, apples is what everyone on my western hunting forums use. The problem is bears. But when deer have huge ranges like out west apples seem to pull them in everytime

I have a CVA bobcat sidelock. The trigger mechanism broke. I had it out and lil' bro a sis snapped the metal that is used to snap the hammer. I called Deer Creek Products which has the old parts to the CVA sidleocks. The lines were busy the whole day. I dont wanna spend more than 20 bucks on this gun as i have seen the exact same gun for $50 bucks on sale. What should i do about the trigger?

It depends on the warden. In WA my uncles 3rd point on his bucks was 7/8" and he got ticketed. all points had to be over 1" was the rule.

Antler restrictions dont help. All the bucks that fit the restrictions get killed. Then the bucks with inferior genetics get left to breed. In WA it the same way with the 3pt min. All the giant 2 pointers run around spreading genetics while the bucks that should be doin the breeding get shot.

For that short range of hunting i would use hornady's 300 grain bullet. better for use in brush and you can still can connect on100 yards shots with ease. Powerbelts perform excellant in some gun and pooor in some. You just have to test. They dont do a very good job of putting the aniamls down though. shock waves get astounding accuracy and good put down power.
