I agree. The panel had a mission and executed it. It got the feeling that fox has their favorites and they want those favorites to shine while blast or don't let the other talk.

I don't have one but it sounds like a nice gun. I'm going to look it up. Thanks.
Edit: I bet people mount a scope on those, like they do with the super Blackhawks.

I know the family is suffering but attempting to take money from a guy cause he was in an "accident" is not the answer. I hope they find peace. I'm sure Tony has suffered greatly cause of this.

Highway 2 from the bridge to Escanaba is a great ride in the fall or anytime. Where did you see lake Superior from? Newberry. We headed up to visit friends up there. It's where I go in the fall for salmon and steelhead. Great trip for sure.

The ride was simply amazing. I had only one issue and I didn't notice that until I was just past Muncie. See if you can find it. We took the route featherduster recommended, and he nailed it. It was an awesome ride. Traverse City was beautiful and crazy busy. Petosky was the same, B-E-A-utiful but busy. We arrived there around rush hour, so that was to be expected. Here is a pic of my buddy driving over the Mackinac bridge. After arriving in St Ignace, we hung out with some friends and they drove us to an awesome view of the bridge. They live just minutes from this view. It is amazing! We were able to see 3 Great Lakes on our trip. Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Superior from the bikes. The wind felt nice in the heat of the day. The best part about the UP is the people. Everyone is just so friendly. A close second is the views. Michigan does a great job utilizing the land so you have a good view of the lake while you are driving. I'm speaking about route 2 specifically. If you have not been on it, you need to put that on your to do list. Here is a picture I took when we pulled off the road. There is a little island out there with a light house. We left St Ignace around 8 am and got home in Indy around 7 pm. We hauled it home. I think we were both ready to be home and out of the sun. The sunscreen we were using was not working. We both lathered up at every stop... Every 2 hours and we were still burnt. It was a great trip with a good friend, we will be doing another trip this year. We plan on heading south next. Mike

MY wife and I travel to the UP and norther Wisconsin a lot,if I can offer a recommendation on a route I would take US 37 north from Grand Rapids all the way to Traverse city. You will be traveling through the Manistee National Forest with great scenery, small towns rocky rivers and then from Traverse city to the bridge take 31. You really can't see much of the lake until you get to traverse city and there isn't as much traffic or stop and goes as there is on 31. If all goes well and you decide to loop the lake the highway along the north shore of lake Michigan is spectacular on a bike. Let me know if you want a list of fantastic and funky restaurants along these routes. BTW the trip from Grand Rapids north is something that I would not rush .......good things should be savored. Thanks for the suggestion. I passed the info on to my buddy. We were going to basically go without a plan other than staying by the lake. Your plan sounds better and proven. Thank you for the suggestion and heck yeah, I would love to hear where you eat! Thanks.

This Friday morning I am leaving for lower Michigan to meet up with a buddy and head to upper Michigan. We plan on taking 31 all the way up. It should be a nice comfortable ride along Lake Michigan. It will be the most miles I have put on a bike in one day. I am totally looking forward to it. The weather looks as if it is going to cooperate. Fingers crossed!
Originally we had planned on making the loop around Lake Michigan, but decided to try this first.
Keep us in your prayers for a safe and fun ride.
Thanks. Mike

Small world man. I was wondering if you knew of the property I was speaking of. I figured I gave it away when I started talking about the cabin.

The visit went ok. I don't care for the easement. The cabin that is on it is in super bad shape. I think it would have to come down. When they built it, they built it right on the ground instead of raised. So there are termites and water issues. The property is beautiful, but the pine trees that line the way to the cabin are pretty much dead. I think hunting would be great, which is what I would want it for, but I just see so much work when I look at it. I think it actually becomes more work because there is a cabin on it. We would end up tearing it down...in time.
We did look at another piece of property that did not have a cabin and has a fair amount of road frontage. I liked that property. We may make an offer on that land. I don't want to rush into, but it seems good land goes fast!
Thanks for all of your thoughts!!
Mike

I'm so happy for you to be able to get some land. I wouldn't be opposed to land like this, and I'm surprised that they didn't know the answer. The older I get, the less road frontage I want. I would have my realtor talk with the adjoining land owner to see how they feel about it. The only opposition would come from them. I built a driveway on a utility easement once. Yes, the utility had the rights to dig up my driveway if a problem occurred, but I'm not thinking that this would be a problem that you'd experience. The county would just get more taxes from it, so can't see a problem with them. Congratulations Michael! Thank you!

Yeah. I think I need to speak with the land owner of the easement first. I think it would be a touchy situation. I think if they don't want there to be a driveway, they don't have to allow it. Maybe I need to speak to a real estate attorney. I would rather pay a little up front than pay a ton down the road.
There are several different land owners around property, so the idea of purchasing a small piece of land to access the property, may be the best solution.
Right now we are just going to use the land for recreation and have no interest in building there...but... I think the land is more valuable if the option is there to build a home.
We are heading there today to take a look. Maybe I will get a chance to speak with the easement owner.
Thanks!

Let wife and I are going out to look at another price of land tomorrow, but it has a slight issue. It is nearly land locked. Meaning it has a deeded right of way but no road frontage. My question to my agent as well as the sellers agent was this. If I wanted to, could I pave or put gravel on the right of way? Right now it is just a stretch of grass running 15 feet in width along the edge of the easement owners land.
I don't want to buy land and not be able to potentially put a home on it..and if we put a home there, we would want a drive way.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Neither agent knows the answer.
Thanks. Mike

Many years ago, I made a cd titled Just Simple Man. It was literally a cd with simple man 12 times. I realize I could have just hit repeat on the CD player, but why!!! Love that tune!
