Duff you are excluded because you already won the booby prize at HH. Next time I'll actually send the winner native plant seed. Come on guys. I can't let Duff win twice. I'll give these two species to be Identified until 4/19 and then will have to give in.

Top one is easy - skunk cabbage. Not sure on the second one......looks like something my wife had me plant in the flower garden that costs $19.95 at Home Depot.

The Skunk Cabbage is still right. Buttercup is not correct. Here's a view of this plant in my wetland on the trail.

OK guys here is the mystery plants name. ----------------------------------------------------- Marsh Marigold (Caltha palustris)
Flowers early in spring, this clump forming plant produces a cluster of bright yellow flowers over a mound of dark green leaves.
Grows up to 12" tall in full sun or partial shade
I went out to my wetland yesterday and took some more pics of other species. I'll get one in this week.
