I plan to hunt with a Thompson Center handgun during this firearms season. Do I need any sort of permit to do so?

Larry,
Anytime you leave your home with a hand gun you are required to have either a personal protection permit or a hunting and target permit. You can apply for these permits at your sheriff's department or city police department.
