Big Red's question got me thinking, I work with this older guy who fishes everyday. He was telling me last summer he and another guy were fishing from their boat on the Ohio River and were stopped by an Kentucky C.O. patrolling in a boat. Upon checking their licenses and boat reg. He said the C.O. began to write them citations, when they asked what the deal was, they said the C.O. then placed them under arrest and impounded their boat. They both have lifetime licenses in IN. and the boat registration is current for IN. and they unloaded the boat on the IN. side of the river. They said the reason they were arrested was fishing without an Kentucky licenses and a out of state boat. They say they had to call their wives to come bail them out and pay some outragous amount to get the boat out of impound. I thought this story sounded pretty far-fetched and thought maybe You could clear up the facts on fishing the Ohio River. Thanks Guys

Sounds like there is something left out of this story. To be up to date on Ohio regs......I suggest contacting an officer that is assigned to a county along the river.
