This is a follow up question to ff1126 the other day.
The regs say that the bait must be gone 15 days before hunting over it. My question is that the mineral/salt is in the soil or stump and can be there for quite some time. There is not any visible mineral/salt left, but it has saturated into the ground, is this still considered a baited site? My plan is to put some out now and if anything is left to remove it about 1-2 months before Archery season. Thanks.

Sounds like your plan is a good one. The regs actually state 10 days but 15 is fine. It is quite easy to distinguish where bait has been applied to a stump, rotten log or on the ground if the contaminated soil, stump, etc. has not been removed. Soil tests have been the nemesis of many a baiter!
