what is the dog running season for coon and possum? i see the law says you can`t carry a device that can kill a coon while chasing. what if the dog catches the coon? does this season mean i can only "run" the dogs and dispatching by dog is only allowed during hunting season?

RUnning season for raccoon and opposum is February 15 to October 14 each year.
If your dog catches a coon while you're running it during running season, that's one thing, but shaking a coon out for your dog to fight, kill or mame during running season is totally another and is illegal.
This DOES mean that you cannot dispatch a coon by use of your dog during running season.
