This has probably been covered before, but what are the laws regarding dogs on your property that are not owned by you?

Our nieghbor has a chow (and now another dog) that like to come over into our back yard. Which is a concern with two kids that are aged almost 4 and 1. Haven't talked to him about it yet, but I know he won't keep them tied up even if I ask him to.

I know I can shoot, shovel and shut-up, but am I legal to do so?

Object to logging?

I would not suggest the SSS method. Several people have been arrested for that, or have had have to pay out $$$$ in settlements.
I suggest contacting your local city/county law enforcement, and your local animal control. Most counties/cities have local ordinances covering this issue. These issues are handled at the local level.
