Can you only carry a handgun of illegal hunting caliber, like a 45 acp, during archery season with the new law? As I understood it, you couldn't carry a 9mil or 45acp handgun during firearms season. Only a legal hunting handgun caliber like a 44mag. Is this correct? At this meeting coming up, are they trying to change it to where a person can carry an illegal hunting caliber pistol during firearms season? Thanks.

Currently, you can carry a handgun during archery season as long as you have a handgun permit, there is no resgtriction on the caliber. (Emergnecy Rule)
They are in the process of changing the Emergency Rule, to make it permanent.........with a little different wording in the rule. (and I don't know exactly what it will say)
