Is there a boater safty course that people need to take? Is it undter 16 or under 197? birth day?

There is no age restriction on who can take the course. It IS REQUIRED for those wanting to operate a motorboat/PWC at the age of 15. 15 Year olds must possess a state issued ID card as well as their boater ed card when operating.
