I was thinking about creating a small pond on my property to help wildlife during the warm and dry season.
I mentioned this to a friend and he offered me a small "fish pond" (the kind used for home gardens) that we could set in a dug out area so that it would hold water. It got me to wondering if this would be legal to hunt over.
I don't intend to transport water to the area, but let it gather from rainfall. Also, it is a small tract of land. So anywhere I hunt, a person could probably say I was "hunting over it".
Would this be consider legal to hunt?
Thanks very much for your time!
Robert

I have personally seen this and I do not consider it baiting. However, the real judge in the matter, your LOCAL CO, is the person you should talk to about the matter, as I can see where one could argue that it is something placed in the field for deer/wildlife to consume.
