Depends on the officer, really. The regs do prohibit a bow hunter from possessing a firearm while bowhunting. I wouldnt have a problem with a bow hunter using a standard air gun/BB gun to shoot squirrels while bowhunting, but why would you want to make any extra noise or movement while on stand? Justa thought. However, I am UNSURE whether or not an air rifle meets the LEGAL definition of firearm according to Indiana Law. The high power air rifles are a different story, as they can be capable of killing a deer, as mentioned in the post/article. Perhaps the law should be reworded to cover this issue. I would probably leave that gun at home if I were them.
