This came up on another site. What are the rules for camping on the bank of a river when you are floating that river? I think the main river they are thinking about would be the White below Indy.

If it is a navagable waterway, you must stay within the normal high watermark to keep from trespassing on another persons property, which would probably be hard to do.
Besideds that, you must have permission from the landowner to camp on their property along a stream/river.
