Hey fellas,
I had my first experience with trespassers on my family's (Mom & Dad's) land while hunting. I turned to see 2 men with bows in hand walking 20 yards away from me and they closed to 15 yards before I whistled. I didn't say anything and they turned slowly and walked back the way they came.
I didn't want confrontation, but I was angry to say the least.
Could you guys recommend a procedure for encounters like this? I'll be posting the property line ASAP to serve as NOTICE.
Thanks for your help.

If you have a cell phone (and have a signal), you can call our South Regional Office and request a CO to respond. I STRONGLY recommend that anyone have their trespassers cited for hunting without consent, even for the first time offense. These people (they're not sportsmen) know when they have permission on a piece of property and when they dont. They almost always use the excuse of not knowing where they were or that they got lost, etc. and will be VERY courteous to you so that you will only tell them to leave. They will then go somewhere else and repeat their actions until they get caught again. Word gets out quick in the ring of violators when someone gets a ticket on a piece of property they did not have permission to be on. Handle it how you like, but I would recommend calling one of us to take care of it the first time around.

Thanks Buster. I'll get on the horn with ICO Stivers.
