One of the farms I hunt is owned by my uncle on 250 in Switzerland County. He has some very rugged hills on the back side as it turns towards the river. On the property line the neighbors have placed stand locations that face onto his property. Their shooting lanes and really their only hunting area is on Davids' land. Is this legal? and should it be reported before gun season or do we have to see them actually shot across the line so it becomes a he said they said situation?
Thanks,
Rod

There are no regulations against setting up stands on property lines as long as the hunter stays on and does not shoot onto property that he/she does not have permisssion to hunt. Seems like it is the popular thing to do lately.... A violation will have to be observed by the officer or you personally. The presence of the stand is not a violation, unfortunately.
