I was hunting at Ravinia woods down by martinsville when a guy came in about 30 min`s before dark with a shotgun and sat down on the ridge in front of me,,am pretty sure he was trying to poach a deer b4 gun season.

Do you carry a cell phone? I hope most of you guys do. It can come in handy in situations like this one. Especially if you or another hunter get hurt or fall from a tree stand. We had a hunter fall from a stand here in Parke County on Wednesday. When he regained consciousness, he could not walk or pull himself out of the woods. Had he not had a cell phone in his pocket, he might been carried out in a body bag instead of a back board.
