Sir, what constitutes as hunter harassment? What are the penalties? The reason that I ask is I have a close friend of mine that hunts on a piece of property in Morgan County along the river. Every time he goes to the property that he has permission to hunt on, the nearby home owner does some kind of act that is very upsetting, usually minor, but very annoying. The latest occurred this past weekend. This nearby homeowner to the property knew that he was their hunting and chose to take his vehicle to the fields and drive on them constantly for a good length of time, in circles, reving the engine, and doing small burn outs. Does my hunting buddy have a good case to call the local Conservation Officer and what the penalties? I will pass on any information that you give. Thank you for your time on answering this question. I feel that you all are doing a great job.

Any hunter harassment situation is good reason to call one of us. Yeah, we work for the citizens of IN, however, sportsmen and women are really the folks we work for and, IMHO, are our priority. For a lot of us (CO's), hunting and fishing is a way of life. Nothing makes me madder than something like this. Tell your buddy to contact his local CO (Knoy or Reese) and report this to him. Hunter Harassment is a criminal offense and is a misdemeanor. The officer needs to witness it taking place.
