Dear CO, Can a farmer get depredation tags for one county and use them in another county, he has property in? Also if someone leases a field to a farmer, who has to obtain the depredation permits, land owner or farmer. And if its the farmer can he let whoever he decides on your property to use the permits? Even if the land owner is against this? Local CO looked up the farmers name and the shooters name and neither one of them showed up on his laptop for the depredation tags. The farmer and the shooter booth live in a different county. But the farmer owns land in the same county and leases adjoining property. Confused yet. Sorry. I hope you can understand what Im trying to explain. I just don't understand how it all works.

Although the depredation tags are issued to specific people (farmers/landowners), the permit itself specifies the particular property in which they are valid for and lists the names and addresses of the shooters that are permitted to harvest during the depredation period. If the farmer has property in County A and County B,and his permit allows him to use the tags on his property in County A, he cannot use them on his property in County B. The depredation permit spells out all of the details of what he is allowed to do and where. The permits are issued after the biologist comes out to the property and completes a depredation assessment on that particular piece of property and then may or may not issue the permits for that piece of property. Hope this helps.
