I have a log jam in the creek by my house, that seems to be growing by the rain. Can I throw a match to it and try burning it off?
Also Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions on here.

I would try a chainsaw and a rope first. Burning is not a good idea as the residue from the ashes may cause a fishkill. I had to investigate a fish kill on a creek once where the run-off from a nearby building fire killed a bunch of fish. The run-off was the result of the thoudands of gallons of water the fire dept. used to extinguish the fire. Not directly their fault, but a small kill did occur.
