Is it legal to use a locator call to locate turkeys from a boat that is under power (ie trolling motor)?
The boat would then be beached and we would pursue the turkeys on land.
The IN DNR guide notes that it is legal to "...hunt any animal (except furbearers) from a motorboat, provided the boat is not under power derived from the motor."
Does the definition of "hunt" in this case include the use of a locator call?

By definition, yes, the use of the locator call would be considered 'hunting' in that situation.
